STOBI Winery
The STOBI Winery is located in the most famous wine region in central Macedonia, and covers around 12,000 hectares, which is approximately one-third of the total vineyard area in Macedonia. Grape growing and wine production are possible in this area mostly because of the blend of the Mediterranean and the Continental climate. This region has its own traditional wine varieties that are very well-known among the Macedonian people. The most famous grape variety is Vranec, that accounts for almost 50% of the vineyards, and the international grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Shiraz, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Muscat, Riesling, Traminec and many more. The STOBI Winery disposes of the latest fully automated technology that operates with a capacity of 5,000 bottles per hour, and allows them to maintain the quality of the grapes and wines.
POPOVA KULA Winery
The Popova Kula Winery cellar and the grape vine plantations are located on the south slope of Veliko Brdo, west from the wonderful town of Demir Kapija, in the vicinity of the E-75 motorway.
Demir Kapija valley covers the south part of the Tikves vineyard sub-region, which is part of the Povardarie region.
The oldest archaeological findings prove that people in this region have been growing vineyards and have been making wine since the 13 century B.C.
Demir Kapija region is characterized by excellent climatic and soil conditions for growing grape wines.
